Initial Intake

Service Description

The initial intake assessment is where we will work to uncover your reasons for seeking services while also gathering relevant background information that may be tied to the root causes for your mental distress. To better understand how treatment will be tailored to fit your specific needs we will focus on compiling the following information including, but not limited to: the presenting problem, current psychological/emotional status, family history, any past diagnoses, current medications, safety, social support network, work/home/school life, cultural history, and any alcohol/drug use. This is a comprehensive appointment that helps set the foundation for future success.
